Arizona Museum of Natural History

I have arranged a tour at the Arizona Museum of Natural History.  It will be on June 30th at 2:00pm.  They have a fun dinosaur exhibit.  Below is a link to their website.

Splash Pad Activity This Week

The weather is getting super hot this week! Thought it would be fun to head to the splash pad and let the kiddos cool off.

Free Home Depot Kids Corner

Tomorrow Saturday June 18th is a special, in honor of Father's Day, free kids corner at home depot.  They are making toolboxes.  This is offered at all home depots.  It is from 9-12. 

Fire Station Tour

There was such a great response to the Fire Station Tour this past week that I had to schedule another tour for this coming Wedneday.  The second tour is scheduled for Wednesday June 22nd at 2:30pm.  There are a few spots left on that tour.  If you would like to join please let me know so that I can get you added to the list.
The tour is of Gilbert Fire Station #1 on Williamsfield just east of the 202.

What's it all about?

A few of us got together and decided we wanted something for our kids to do during the summer and hopefully continuing after!  We also want to use this to plan events JUST FOR MOM!  Anyone and EVERYONE is invited- this is not a clique or limited to certain groups- its for anyone who wants to come!
How does it work?
     For now, there is a list of scheduled events on the lefthand side of your screen.... a week or two before an event we will add an event tab on the side-- you will be able to indicate whether you are coming or not.  This will let Shannon know whether she needs to schedule a second time- since some of the events are limited in size-- but we can schedule more as needed!!!  If you don't want to "join the site" (which just means logging in with a google account) then you are welcome to just e-mail Shannon and let her know you want to come- or add a comment-

Why this blog was started...

This blog was started as a means to organize activities among the moms in Queen Creek. I really wanted have a way to communicate with other moms and to build lasting friendships.  This blog is open to anyone so please feel free to spread the word among your friends. I am starting with some summer play group ideas.  I would love to have more to offer.  I would love to hear any of your ideas and suggestions.  I am looking forward to a great summer.
